If, perchance, one day, you decide to let another being into your life in the form of a child, know this: in the place just beyond the veil you will create a contract with the being who will step into your life to become your child. you choose the child who will push you outside of your comfort zone and the child chooses you that it might teach you by example what it is to be unbound and unconstrained by the shadows and demons you carry about in your mind.

If you are paying attention, the child need only live as an example. If you refuse to believe that your child is your best teacher, then the child will make sure you learn the contracted lesson in other ways.

For example: If you are afraid, if fear governs all the decisions you make, then perhaps one of your children will embody what it is to be fearless. If you grok the lesson, then the contract is fulfilled and the child will move on to its primary contracts (that which it holds with the Oneverse). If you cling to your fear, if you insist on wrapping this child in your coddling blanket of fear, it will do extreme things, such as leaping off cliffs into the bottomless and unknowable abyss. You will have learned your lesson if you can let your love rule your heart, overcome your fear and force yourself to leap off after him, risking everything, including death, to keep this child in your heart.

or perhaps your problem is that you believe in nothing. Poor you. you will have a child who not only believes in fairies and dragons and magic, she will embody the very essence of magic. the more you try to repress her nature the more she will sing and dance and play, every word, every motion, a celebration of the magic that flows thru her body. If you cannot grok her lesson, then she will be lost to you as she creates a language of magic to express what is inexpressibly. You must learn this language if you wish her to let you into her heart.

the ultimate tragedy is a parent who chooses the comfort of their familiar life over the act of loving and being loved by a child who was put into your life to lead you out of the shadowlands.
